PTFE packing is frequently selected not only for its technical specifications but for the tangible operational benefits it delivers in terms of leak control, safety, and total cost of ownership.


A primary user benefit is the enhanced safety and environmental protection afforded by reliable sealing. In plants handling hazardous, toxic, or volatile fluids, even minor leaks from pump or valve shafts can pose significant risks. PTFE packing, with its excellent chemical compatibility, provides a robust barrier against such leaks. Specialized forms, like die-formed rings or expanded PTFE gasket tape used as packing, address specific challenges in valves or static flanges. For the user, this means having a reliable, well-understood tool in the maintenance toolkit capable of addressing a broad spectrum of sealing challenges.
